BIOGRAPHY

Sara López is an internationally recognized dancer, known as the Queen of kizomba thanks to her shows and workshops around the world, as well as the viral success of her online videos. However, her background goes far beyond that. After 15 years of training in classical dance, Sara has always embraced versatility, exploring styles as diverse as hip-hop, flamenco, belly dance, among others, and of course, Latin rhythms.

Sara began dancing at the age of 5, studied Ballet for 15 years, and was certified by The Royal Ballet of London, achieving the Honors distinction. During this period, she complemented her training with 9 years of Flamenco, 4 years of Contemporary dance, and various Jazz and Funk courses with nationally recognized teachers. She was a member of the Ballet Joven África Guzmán for 4 years, performing roles as a soloist.

At the age of 17, she trained in Belly Dance for one year, and at 19 she was introduced to Latin rhythms, working in shows and teaching Salsa On1, Bachata, and Bachatango workshops with different dance partners across Spain for 3 years.

At 21, she began studying Hip-Hop, and at 22 she traveled to L.A. (California, USA) to train with internationally renowned choreographers for 3 months. She continued her training in this style through occasional courses and trips to L.A., while also refining her skills in Contemporary dance, Pointe, floor and aerial acrobatics…

PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

She began her professional career with the África Guzmán Youth Ballet, performing during the years 2004, 2005, and 2006. While continuing to expand her knowledge in other dance styles, she worked as a salsa on1 and ladies styling teacher at A Bailar dance school, and as a funk-hip-hop instructor at Cedance academy.

She began her professional journey in the world of Kizomba in 2009, competing at Africadançar, where she was selected to represent Spain in the international championship, achieving second place. Following this competition, she started teaching workshops and performing across Europe. Her popularity grew significantly through the انتشار of her videos on YouTube and social media, gaining international recognition that has allowed her to travel all over the world.

She combines her most recognized work with appearances in music videos, occasional performances as a dancer on television shows, participation in advertising campaigns, and interviews, among many other projects, as she is always open to exploring new experiences and styles.

Thanks to her work, Sara has been able to perform and teach at events all around the world: from Japan, Russia, and the United States to Mexico, Egypt, and countries across Europe such as France, the Netherlands, Finland, and Bulgaria—just a few examples from her extensive international career. She is used to working with people from all over the world, and it is common for her to teach workshops in English, a language she speaks fluently.
